Required reading and response questions

- Then read this paper by Muehlenbachs, Spiller, and Timmins.
Optional
- You don’t need to read the appendix of the paper, but it has a nice succinct summary of the “hedonic” property valuation model, which maps home prices to peoples’ preferences for amenities.
- This New York Times article has additional context and is indicative of the news coverage of this issue.
Response question
Please think about a response for ALL of the “Questions to think about ..” in the handout on how to read a paper. We will have a discussion about each of them in class.
For you response on canvas, just answer the first question: What is the research question in this paper?
